Many factors go into the tree removal business, whether it happens due to natural or human causes.  Wildfires, deforestation and pests are some of the main threats to trees.  However, on a smaller scale, sometimes trees need to be intentionally removed.  In this case, one should always work with a professional tree expert to ensure a safe and efficient process.

Wildfires are a significant problem for trees, and their severity continues to grow.  Between 2001 and 2025, roughly 13 billion kilohectares of tree cover was lost in the United States due to fires.  In 2024, fires burned 7,124,554 acres in the United States; the lost land was roughly the size of Massachusetts and Puerto Rico combined.

Deforestation has also wiped out large chunks of tree covered land.  For example, Alaska lost 6.3 million hectares of forested land between 2001 and 2025.  Georgia lost 3.64 million hectares during the same time, which is particularly notable because Georgia only has 15.1 million hectares of total land.

Pests can also decimate forests; every year, it is estimated that invasive insects and plant diseases cause $40 billion in damages to plants.  Roughly 50 million acres are impacted in the United States by insects every year.

On a small scale, planned tree removal can be necessary if a tree is posing threats to the environment or human settlement.  Professional services exist to streamline this process.  For instance, tree experts already have the equipment–stump removers, ladders and chippers–to make the process easier.  Professionals also ensure that the tree cannot regrow, which reduces the risk of future damage.

There are many avenues of tree removal services, both in and outside of nature.  If one ever finds themselves in need of tree removal, reach out to the experts, as they are well-versed in tree management.
